Hi! I’m Sarah Kaukinen, one of the receptionist at Crossroad Veterinary Clinic. I’m passionate about working in the veterinary field because it’s fast-paced, interesting, and I love animals. One area of veterinary medicine that particularly fascinates me is animal psychology—I'm amazed by how much an animal’s mental and emotional state impacts their physical health, just like it does for humans! What I enjoy most about my job is the chance to pet all the adorable kittens that come through the clinic.

Outside of work, I’m a professional pianist and piano teacher, but I play several instruments, including organ, flute, ukulele, and kantele. I can even sing in six languages: English, French, Finnish, German, Spanish, and Italian!

At home, I share my space with Brontë, a giant Malamute, and two cats: Nannerl, a tabby, and Beatrix (Beeps), a red point DSH.
