Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. If you have an after hours emergency, please call the clinic number and you will be directed to the Nurse's Registry who will in turn contact the veterinarian on call.
We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 7 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and a technician working together to save a pet's life. Emergencies can be things such a hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency.
If you have an after hours emergency, please call the clinic number and you will be directed to the Nurse's Registry who will in turn contact the veterinarian who is on call. Please note that effective Monday November 3rd, 2014 Crossroads Veterinary Clinic will be sharing their on-call rotation with The Thunder Bay Veterinary Hospital. They will be rotating emergency services weekly, for example, Crossroads will be on call for one week and then it will switch to the Thunder Bay Vet Hospital for one week and then back to Crossroads and so on. If your emergency falls on a night that the Thunder Bay Vet Hospital is on call you will be required to bring your pet to their clinic and see the doctor from that clinic. THE SYSTEM IS MEANT TO BE USED BY REGULAR CLIENTS OF EITHER OF THESE PRACTICES WHO HAVE A TRUE EMERGENCY WITH THEIR PET. CLIENTS WITH NON-EMERGENCY CALLS AND NON-CLIENTS MAY BE CHARGED A $30.00 CONSULTATION FEE.
We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our veterinarians will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.
Crossroads Veterinary Clinic accepts payment via cash, check, MasterCard, or Visa. So that we can continue to provide you high quality service utilizing the best medical technologies, we request that payment be made at the time services are rendered.
We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges.

Preventative medicine definitely increases your pet's chances of having a long and healthy life. We can accomplish this through routine physical examinations of your pet, proper nutrition, parasite control and also through vaccinations based on assessments of your pet.
